The Civil War Music Collector's Edition

In 1991, Time-Life Music produced a Civil War Collector's Edition of Civil War Music that the 1st Brigade Band was proud to be a part of.  The artists included: The Hutchinson Family Singers, The Princely Players, Norman and Nancy Blake, Will and Polly Brecht, 1st Brigade Band, Sandy Hook Fife and Drum, and John Hartford, among others.  It was available as a three tape or CD box set with a large, well-illustrated book detailing the songs and history of the collection - truly a variety of instrumental, solo, and vocal ensembles from the Civil War period.  The album is currently out of production, though it is not hard to find among re-sellers, and sites such as eBay.
