Uniforms and Fashions of the Day

Enjoy the costuming of our costumes ladies and gentlemen of the auxiliary, vivandiers and color guard.  Some are program participants, some are in charge of programs and recording sales, while others enjoy adding that authentic touch to performances and parades with flags, rifles, and placards for currently-playing tunes.  The ladies often wear dresses for the occasion or time of day, as was done in the 19th century (some change 2 or 3 times a day at performances - quite a trick with all the hoops, pantaloons, snoods, gloves, jewelry - well, you get the idea).  Our color guard represents many of the regiment and unit styles of the day, from Sharpshooter and Zouave, to Wisconsin Iron Brigade soldiers.
